Materials for Health Professionals
A wide variety of educational materials is available from professional organizations, commercial companies, and others. Select materials that fit the needs of your patients in reading level and cultural issues. A pamphlet that is appropriate for one patient may not be for another.
The following print materials on healthy eating and physical activity are available from the South Dakota Department of Health (DOH). Items may be printed and reproduced or may be ordered from the DOH Online Resource Center. The nutrition items are listed under the tab "Family Health" at the top of the page and physical activity items are listed under the tab "Health Promotion". Under each tab you will need to scroll down until you reach the general topic area and pamphlet you desire. Materials are provided without charge to South Dakotans.
