Thank you for visiting our site! This section of the HealthySD.gov website was developed for you! One goal of the Healthy South Dakota program is to encourage and support wellness programs in worksites and to better meet your needs when inplementing wellness programs we are going to need a little more information from you.
Why?
Worksites are crucial to improving the health of their workers. Most adults spend more of their waking hours at work than anywhere else, making it a prime venue for promoting healthful habits. The worksite organizational culture and environment are powerful influences on behavior and this need to be put to use as a means of assisting employees to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
What?
In order to help worksites create and implement wellness programs in their worksite, it is essential we understand the kind of programming that is currently occurring in your workplace. By signing up and filling out our online Healthy SD Worksite survey, we can evaluate outcomes and determine your program needs and provide assistance and resources to better serve you.
The survey is a review of employee wellness and health promotion programs at your worksite.
The 47-question HealthySD Worksite survey looks at the ways in which a workplace environment supports employee wellness and healthy living. Information about worksite smoking policies, nutritional and physical activity opportunities available through the employer, and the organization’s administrative ability — or “readiness” — to support workplace-based wellness programs is considered.
The survey is organized into seven categories, each representing a different way of supporting wellness and encouraging actions conducive to a healthy lifestyle within the worksite environment.
